Campus Bilbao

Thanks to the collaboration of Fineco Banca Privada Kutxabank and Kutxabank, we had the opportunity to welcome Lord Jim O’Neill—creator of the BRIC acronym and former Chief Economist at Goldman Sachs for over a decade—to the Bilbao campus of the University of Deusto.

He served as the UK’s Minister of State for Trade and held leadership roles at the renowned think tanks Chatham House and Bruegel as well as a number of charities.

Deusto Business School students engaged in dialogue on geopolitics, investment, and business activity with Lord O’Neill, Honorary Professor of Economics at the The University of Manchester. His international experience and decision-making expertise in uncertain environments were particularly valued by the attendees.

The open conversation about major global challenges provided students with a truly enriching experience. One of these challenges—the intersection of sustainability and finance—will be explored further in June during the ESG Finance Summer Programme.

Thank you, Jim O’Neill! and special thanks to Miguel Roqueiro, Daniel Irezabal and Jon Recacoechea for making it possible! Eskerrik asko denagatik!
