On November 16th, Emakunde celebrated, within the framework of the European Week of Advanced Management promoted by Euskalit, the conference "New keys to managing equality" in which the legal frameworks for equality in companies were deepened and the first results of the work that the Bai Sarea network of companies and entities has been carrying out since last year, driven by Emakunde, have been presented.
The event gathered several experts on gender issues from the Basque Country. Among them, the intervention of University of Deusto’s researcher and professor Leire Gartzia attracted the audience’s attention with an analysis of the frameworks for equality deriving from the structural factors that influence the repetition of behavioral models.
The event was completed with a clear focus on the close relationship between equality and excellence, equality and innovation, equality and advanced management, combined with the introduction of the Bai-Sarea network, as well as the delivery of the gender equality acknowledgement awards to the collaborating entities.
In conclusion, the event was a great opportunity to highlight the importance of gender equality in business and explore the possible tools for its effective implementation.
