The European Commission’s Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing has included two of the University’s programmes in its Compilation of Good Practices.
The programmes that have been considered as good practices are the Deusto-Ociobide School of Citizenship (Institute of Leisure Studies) and the REHACOP programme (Neuropsychology).
The School of Citizenship promotes lifelong learning as a leisure experience, capable of promoting personal development and social engagement.REHACOP is a programme that provides people in early phases of cognitive decline with an intervention which is friendly, easy and with non-secondary effects, to cope with this deterioration. The intervention enhances general health and functionality, prevents dependency, and increases the social relationship thus promoting wellbeing. The compilation of good practices can be viewed at:http://ec.europa.eu/research/innovation-union/pdf/active-healthy-ageing/rs_catalogue.pdf
