Members of the Ageing and Wellbeing Interdisciplinary Research Platform were selected by the World Health Organization to participate in its course “Healthy Ageing for Impact in the 21st Century: Global Online Leaders Training”
The course was designed to provide participants with the building blocks to become future leaders in the area of ageing population. It has allowed participants to improve the competencies and skills needed to work on this agenda as part of the Decade of Healthy Ageing (2020-2030).
After the theoretical part of the programme, DEUSTO representatives, together with their teams, prepared an action plan: “Increasing connections and interactions between older and younger populations by 25% to combat ageism in Bilbao, Spain”. The action plan was selected as one of the six best action plans of the course.
