The 18th Zahartzaroa Congress and the 11th Congress of the Navarra Geriatric and Gerontology Society “How to age well to live better” took place in Donosti on 9-10 May 2019.
It is well known that our societies are facing important challenges related to the ageing of our population. One of these challenges is the care of the elderly. Professionals working in this field require a continuous and updated training to ensure the good quality of care and to promote the construction of a professional health system that can respond to this challenge.
The congress, in which researchers from the DEUSTO were present, was a multidisciplinary meeting that included a geriatric medicine course for primary care and new methodologies for debating and learning.
