“Achieving Social Justice through Formal Employment” - Social Justice World Day 2022

Since 2009 the United Nations has promoted the celebration of the World Day of Social Justice on February 20th, reaffirming the importance of fighting against poverty, aiming at full employment and stable and safe societies.The purpose of this Day is to raise the voice against social injustice and to promote social justice throughout the world.

In line with this, her article published in THE Conversation, DEUSTO Prof. Marta Enciso (Faculty of Law) outlines the six elements that have been identified (and related indicators) to better define the concept of social justice:

  1. Poverty prevention
  2. Equal education
  3. Access to labor market
  4. social inclusion and no discrimination
  5. Intergenerational justice
  6. Health
