UDEUSTO starts work on new EU project: Simplifying the interaction with Public Administration through Information Technology for Citizens and Companies (SIMPATICO)

Principal Investigator Diego López de Ipiña and his team from DeustoTECH, are soon to start work on SIMPATICO, as part of an international consortium of 12 partners led by the Fondazione Bruno Kessler (Italy).

SIMPATICO addresses one of the European Commission’s key priorities under the call Overcoming the Crisis: New ideas, strategies and Governance structures for Europe. It proposes a novel approach for the delivery of personalized online services that, combining emerging technologies for language processing and machine learning with the wisdom of the crowd, would make interactions with the Public Administration easier, more efficient and more effective.

The project has a total budget of 3.7 million Euros from Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 6: Europe in a changing world which aims at fostering a greater understanding of Europe, by providing solutions and support inclusive, innovative and reflective European societies with an innovative public sector in a context of unprecedented transformations and growing global interdependencies.
