The research article “Analysis of Quality of Life Parameters in a Health-Promoting Program for a Population with Cardiovascular Risk Factors: a Preliminary Study” has been published in the SN Comprehensive Clinical Medicine Journal. The article is the result of a intersectoral research initiative performed by DEUSTO HealthPASS (Health, Physical Activity and Sports Sciences) research group and the company Mugikon.
Researchers describe the changes that occur on a physical (body mass index, systolic and diastolic arterial pressure) and biological level (glucose, overall cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides), as well as the changes in attitude, in perceived quality of life and in the functional fitness tests for a group of patients recruited by first-attending doctors and directed to a regulated health-promotion programme for physical activity for health developed in the Association of Txorierri (Bizkaia, Spain).
