The Center for Applied Ethics will hold the conference "The gender perspective in complex thinking", delivered by Dr. José Carlos Vázquez Parra, coordinator of the Research Subgroup on Applied Ethics in the Tecnológico de Monterrey, on the of March 7, at 5:00 p.m., in the Icaza Auditorium (DBS) on the Bilbao campus.


Nowadays, the capacity for complex thinking is an essential competence for people carrying out research and teaching tasks in the higher education space. It is of special relevance when academic work focuses on designing and developing proposals for solutions to problems of global society. In this context, the gender perspective is an essential component to be able to carry out this task of social transformation in accordance with the university mission.


In this conference, Dr Vázquez will offer a reflection on the need to create innovative teaching-learning systems that promote this capacity for complex thinking in students, placing special emphasis on the incorporation of the gender perspective in these initiatives.
