    The course will cover the following topics:

    • Humanistic Management: dignity and wellbeing at the core of business.
    • Stakeholder Accounting/Finance and SDGs.
    • Environmental Economics and SDGs.
    • Strategy and SDGs.
    • Marketing and SDGs.
    • People Management in Organizations and SDGs.

    YOUR COURSE PLAN

    STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE

    The course is structured as follows: 

    INDUCTION: participants personal work to get initiated into the topic of the course.

    COURSE CONTENT: in order to work on the content, the course is divided in five sections. Each section combines one live video conference class, combined with online learning through resources and activities to be done before and after the video conference.

    CLOSING SESSION: 1 hour video conference session to sum up the program, solve questions arose during the course and provide general feedback about the requested activities.

    HOW YOU WILL LEARN

    METHODOLOGY

    The methodology of this course, as al Deusto Summer School courses, will be based on the University of Deusto Learning Model, adapted to distance learning. This model enables the autonomous learning of the students and encourages the development of knowledge, skills, attitudes, capacities and values.

    LEARNING METHODS COMBINED

    Combination of live video conference classes with online learning through resources and activities on the university's learning platform.

    DIVERSE RESOURCES

    Use of learning materials in different formats for the presentation of theoretical content.

    ACTIVITIES BEYOND THEORY

    Carrying out different learning activities to verify the acquisition of both theoretical and practical knowledge and the acquisition of skills.

    Monitoring of and supervision of the work of the students.

    Lecturers

    • Ricardo Aguado: PhD in Economics from the University of the Basque Country, Ricardo is  the Head of the Department of Finance and Economics and associated professor at the same institution. He is the main researcher of the Humanism in Management and Economics team (HUME). Profile 
    • José Luis Retolaza: Doctor in Economic and Business Sciences in UPV/EHU, with more than 16 years of teaching experience, he lectures at Deusto Business School. He is the Scientific Director of GEAccounting AIE and the president of EBEN Spain. Profile
    • Leire Alcañiz: she holds a PhD in Advanced Management from the University of Deusto. She is currently Lecturer at this institution where she teaches at the Bilbao campus.  She forms part of the Finance research group. Profile
    • Almudena Eizaguirre: with a PhD in Business Management by University of Deusto. She is currently the General Director of the Deusto Business School Executive Education and professor in the department of Marketing. Profile
    • María García Feijoo: PhD in Advanced Management from the University of Deusto, she is an associated professor at this university.  She is coordinator of Pedagogic Innovation at the Faculty (Bilbao campus) and also a member of the Coordinating Team of the Managerial Skills and Coaching Development Plan.     • Ekhi Atutxa: Doctor in Development Studies from Instituto Hegoa (UPV/EHU), he is currently a lecturer and researcher at University of Deusto is a member of HUME research group (Humanismin Management and Economics). Profile 
    • Leire Gartzia: PhD in Organisational Psychology from the University of the Basque Country and the Rotterdam School of Management. She is currently a lecturer and researcher at the University of Deusto in Bilbao. Profile
    • Josune Baniandrés: Josune Baniandrés Avendaño received her PhD in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Deusto, where she is a lecturer. At Deusto Business School, she is Vice-Dean for Academic Organisation and Academic Staff. Profile
    • Marta Buenechea: PhD degree in Economic Sciences and Business (University of Deusto) and PhD in Sciences by Lappeenranta University of Technology (Finlandia), she currently teaches and researches at Deusto. Profile
    • Henar Alcalde: Doctor in Business Administration and Quantitative Methods from the Universidad Carlos III of Madrid. She is a lecturer at University of Deusto, where she belongs to the research team of Innovation and Management of Organizations in the Society of Knowledge. Profile

    CERTIFICATE

    Upon completion of the course, participants will receive an attendance evidence document proving the participating in this 2 ECTS course.
