    ABOUT THE COURSE

The criminalization of poverty and exclusion has been constant in Criminal Law during history. Even nowadays, we can perceive the traces of a discriminatory Criminal law with the less priviliged people in the social and economic spheres, even if the constitutions and international treaties on human rights forbide an unequal treatment, in this case, over poverty reasons. The unequal behaviour of the criminal legislation is perceived in the limited protection that the most disadvantaged people occasionally receive.
