      About the course

      Corporations, society and present and future managers are worried about the social and environmental impacts of economic activity. In order to address this situation, the SDS are acting as common principles for all corporations and economic actors around the world in order to align the interests of corporations with social wellbeing, environmental responsibility and human flourishing. This course will help to understand how to engage present and future managers in SDGs.

      AIMS OF THE COURSE

      • To understand recent theories in management which consider environmental and social responsibility as part of being competitive. 
      • To analyze the possibility of implementing a humanistic way of management inside corporations.
      • To learn how to take management decisions considering the SDGs.
      • To understand the main concepts of management and apply them to different situations.
      • To critically analyze economic paradigms which do not consider sustainability and social responsibility.
      • To develop a personal economic thought, able to guide decision making in economic activity.
      • To incorporate criteria linked to economic, social and environmental sustainability to management decision making.

      • Undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students, practitioners and policy makers. Requirements:
      • No previous knowledge in the field is required.
      • Language: B2 level in English is recommended.
