Marta Enciso, Professor at Deusto Law School, appointed Director of the Institute of Cooperative Studies

Marta Enciso Santocildes, Professor at Deusto Law School, has been appointed Director of the Institute of Cooperative Studies as of this academic year. The Law School has long maintained a well-established focus on cooperativism and the social economy, both in teaching and research, a field in which Professor Enciso has been involved since joining the School.

This focus was consolidated with the creation of the Institute over 40 years ago, spearheaded by its founder, Dionisio Aranzadi S. J., a pioneer in promoting cooperativism within academia. This legacy has continued under subsequent directors: Aitziber Mugarra, Alejandro Martínez and Enrique Gadea, as well as through the School’s professors and researchers specialising in these fields.
