The Deusto Digital Industry Chair selected to carry out a project on future competencies promoted by Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Cluster 4Gune

The proposal "Identification of the Skills and Competences Needed for the Professionals in the Renewable Energy Sector of the Future" Deusto Digital Industry Chair has been one of the four selected in the region to respond to the challenge "How to achieve a regional energy transition with sustainable solutions".

The project will be cofounded within the collaboration framework promoted by Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Cluster 4Gune for Aalborg University Megaprojects program. It is worth noting that the initiative aligns with the Department of Education of the Basque Government.

 

Thus, this project, oriented to the renewable energy sector, is in consonance with the strategy of the Chair, as others related to future skills, related to digitization or sustainability, such as the European ESSA project or the European SPIRE-SAIS project. As a result of these, future job profiles have been developed in various sectors such as Oil & Gas, Civil Engineering, Additive Manufacturing or Food. Thus, the experience gained through these initiatives will be useful to tackle the aforementioned project related to the renewable energy sector with effectiveness and efficiency
