Why choose Deusto?

The Language Centre of the University of Deusto is part of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences. Its mission is to foster and guarantee that all of its students receive proper instruction in: the Basque language, Spanish as a foreign language, English, French, German and Chinese. Students successfully completing the course receive an official certificate from the university. The centre also has a translation section and offers other language support services.


Courses are offered throughout the year. Groups are limited to small numbers and taught by specialist university professors in language teaching. The levels comply with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Classes mainly focus on preparation of official exams held by the Basque Government (HABE), Cambridge University, the French Ministry of Education (DELE), the Goethe Instituteand, as of June 2014, the HSK (Chinese proficiency)
