Orkestra will be organising the 2020 symposium of the International Journal of Action Research, which will take place on 1-2 October 2020. In that context, this journal is preparing three different special issues related to the main themes that will be discussed in this meeting and the call for two of them is now open.
The first issue, entitled "Action Research, bridging generations, fields and roles", is inspired by the name of the AR Laboratory at Orkestra, Zubigintza (which means building bridges) and aims to reflect about "bridge building" processes that take place in different contexts, such as connections between different generations or action researchers and organisations.
The second issue, "Action Research, policy and politics", builds on the collaboration of researchers coming from the policy analysis, transition research and territorial development fields and aims at reflecting about how the societal challenges we are facing require a fundamental, long-term transformations in policy and politics that action research can help materialise.
