In the framework of the programme "Analysis, Research and Data Communication", the University of Deusto in collaboration with Irekia / Basque Government and the CICC Tabakalera organised the conference "Open data and citizenship ”on 13-15 November in San Sebastian. The event was organised in the form of a gathering and working space to share experiences and different forms of collaboration between institutions, projects and people working on open data. It has also offered a practical space “to get the hand on” data in the context of citizen projects that make use of the information offered by different institutions in the form of public or open data.
The conference was a follow-up of both the work carried out by Irekia /Basque Government, Tabakalera / Hirikilabs through the Data Commons Lab, and the “Analysis, Research and Data Communication” programme of the University of Deusto regarding participation, Open Government and Open Data at different levels and contexts (institutional, professional and citizen).
Miren Gutiérrez, Deusto Researcher and Director of the Programme “Analysis, Research and Data Communication” participated in the event as speaker in the panel discussion “How to open data?”
