From 11 to 24 February 2021, the University of Deusto hosts a photographic exhibition on human trafficking titled “Point and We Go, Life Can Do More”. The exhibition, set up and promoted by the Secretariat of the Episcopal Sub-Commission on Migration and Human Mobility through the Department of Human Trafficking, reflects the drama experienced by victims of trafficking and the hope sustaining their recovery processes.
In its last report, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) states that the number of children among victims of human trafficking in the world has tripled. Spain is estimated to be the first recipient country of these victims in Europe.
This exhibition aims at raising awareness on these people's experiences, while shedding light on the hidden reality of trafficking.
