DEUSTO Pedro Arrupe Institute of Human Rights contributes to the discussions for the Global Compact for safe, orderly and regular migration agreement

The Global Compact for safe, orderly and regular migration will set out a range of principles, commitments and understandings among United Nations Member States regarding international migration in all its dimensions. It will make an important contribution to global governance and enhance coordination on international migration, present a framework for comprehensive international cooperation on migrants and human mobility, deal with all aspects of international migration, including the humanitarian, developmental, human rights-related and other aspects of migration.

A round of preparatory negotiations have been organised under the auspices of the United Nations from February to July 2018 in order to get a final document to be adopted at the Intergovernmental Conference in Morocco on 10 and 11 December 2018.

DEUSTO Pedro Arrupe Institute of Human Rights is contributing to this debate since the beginning of the process.
