On May 20th Bilbao will host the fifth edition of the event "The tests of education" addressing various educational issues based on the existing scientific evidence.

The event will discuss issues such as the problem related to gambling in the school environment, the impact of immigration on student performance or the debate about the school day or departure, among other issues.

Rocio Carrion, researcher Ikerbasque and Ramón y Cajal at the University of Deusto, will talk about the impact of immigration on school performance and will debate, from the largest available scientific evidence, whether or not the educational outcomes depend on the proportion of immigrant students in each classroom.
