Mujertekspace representatives Cristina Giménez Elorriaga and Andoni Eguiluz took part last 10th november in the meeting with Mrs. Luiza Carvalho, UN Women Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Rudolf Library Rijk of Bizkaia Aretoa.
The meeting was attended by Teresa Laespada, Deputy of Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Inclusion of the Bizkaia Council, Maria Guijarro, Director of Equality, Diversity and Cooperation, Ana Arriola, the President of the Coordinating Committee of NGOs of Euskadi, and representatives of organisations such as the Institute of Sociology of Law Oñati and EHUGune, UPV/EHU, EMAgune, CEAR Euskadi, Hegoa Institute, Alboan Foundation, Clara Campoamor Association or the Network of Women Professionals-PWN.
Mrs. Luiza Carvalho, accompanied by Mrs. Irune Aguirrezabal –UN Women Regional Advisor for Leadership and Political Participation- presented her speech "Current Challenges of Substantive Equality in Latin America and the Caribbean" followed by a discussion forum about the issue of equality in the Basque context and the possibilities of creating synergies and partnerships with different Basque stakeholders.
