DEUSTO extends the application period of the Benita Asas Manterola award to July 15

The application period to the Benita Asas Manterola award has been extended up to July 15.

The name of the award honors Benita Asas Manterola, a teacher and feminist born in Donostia in 1873. Co-founder of the newspaper El Pensamiento Femenino, she was president of the board of directors of the National Association of Spanish Women, and participated in the suffrage movement for the right to women's vote. She died in Bilbao in 1968

The main objective of this award is to recognize the DEUSTO undergraduate, master's and PhD students as promoters of the inclusion of the gender perspective in research. The call for this award is part of the Equality Plan of the University of Deusto.
