DEUSTO researchers participate in the European Regions for Smart Communities Summit

Under the Portuguese Presidency of European Union, the European Regions for Smart Communities Summit was held in Évora (Alentejo, Portugal) and online between the 3rd and the 9th of May 2021. The event was organised by the H2020 AURORAL Project, which is led by CCDR Alentejo, with the support from the Alentejo Europe Initiative, Open & Agile Smart Cities (OASC), Regional Development Agency of Alentejo (ADRAL) and IrRADIARE Science for Evolution.

The Summit counted with the participation of Mayors, Regional Governmental representatives, policy makers and Presidents, as well as other elected politicians from across Europe who showed best practices on how to involve citizens more effectively, with the support of local and regional authorities. The event was followed by technical and thematic sessions, projects meetings and networking roundtables and a final celebration of the Day of Europe (9 May) , the last day of the Summit.
