A project to improve energy efficiency in office buildings with the contribution of citizen participation, winner of the XVI Research Awards UD-Santander

The University of Deusto and Banco Santander presented the 16th UD-Santander Research Awards, which have a scientific and social impact, on 8 July. edition awards, and took the opportunity to renew the collaboration agreement between the two institutions through Santander Universidades. The agreement was signed by the Rector of the University of Deusto, Jose Maria Guibert, and the President of the University of Santander, Matias Rodriguez Inciarte.

The research work "GreenSoul: network data devices, ecological awareness and user participation in energy efficiency" has won the highest award, and the second prize has been awarded to the project "Social Accounting and Humanistic Management for Social Impact-HUMANS", companies and organizations project to measure and promote their social value.


The Rector of the University of Deusto, Jose Maria Guibert, recalled and thanked Santander for its collaboration since 2005: "These awards highlight research projects with a specific contribution to scientific quality, social, inclusive, innovative and indirect. We promote society in the right direction."


The main objective of the "GreenSoul: Eco-aware Persuasive Networked Data Devices for User Engagement in Energy Efficiency" project is to reduce energy consumption in public buildings by raising public awareness.
