The Interdisciplinary Research Platform on Ageing and Wellbeing from the University of Deusto takes part in the EU-SHAFE Project. The EU_SHAFE is a European project funded by INTERREG Europe and aims to improve policies and practices in 6 European regions by developing a comprehensive approach to Smart Healthy Age-Friendly Environments (SHAFE).
It is the first physical event since the project kick-off in September 2019. The event took place on September 29th and 30th in Aarhus, Denmark and it finally allowed the partners and stakeholders from Slovenia, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, Denmark and Spain to meet face to face and visit some of the project’s good practices. From the Bizkaia Region, colleagues from the International Research Project Office (IRPO) as well as from the Bizkaia Provincial Council (DBF) joined the meeting.
The 3rd Intense sharing of good practices for inter-regional learning meeting in Aarhus aimed at sharing good practices related to Domain 3 (Communication and Information) with the partners and stakeholders, creating a space for exchanging knowledge and experiences within SHAFE. Moreover, a workshop was held with the objective of presenting and developing the partners’ Action plans.
In Aarhus, the partners and stakeholders had the opportunity to visit DokkX, an innovation, advice and guidance hub for assisted living technologies servicing the citizens, research institutions and businesses of Aarhus. The partners and stakeholders also visited SPARK, a new city park which combines innovative urban development and climate adaptation.
