UDeusto hosts the Zeuk Aukeratu conference to raise awareness of mental health in adolescents

UDEUSTO has joined the celebration of the third edition of the European Week of Mental Health, promoted by Mental Health Europe (MHE) between May 9 and 13. Its objective is to highlight the importance of mental health and its care especially from early stages. This online initiative is an opportunity for people to share personal stories from the coronavirus crisis and also highlights the need for focused action on mental health advice and support.

UDEUSTO is aware that good mental health must be established from childhood and adolescence, therefore, the San Sebastian campus organized the Zeuk Aukeratu conference on May 12 to raise awareness of the importance of caring for the mental health of the population between 10 and 18 years.

UDEUSTO has more than 20 years of experience in teaching mental health by offering the Degree in Psychology and specific master's degrees in the field. Regarding research, UDEUSTO has been deepening its knowledge of mental health through the development of theses and projects developed within the framework of the research groups of the Deusto Psych unit, which seeks to be a benchmark in research and transfer in Psychology and Health. For its part, the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences through the double Degree in Social Education and Social Work also addresses this issue and develops community projects to prevent and protect the mental health of children and adolescents.
