Organisational transformation
The adverse effects of the economic recession, immersion into the fourth technological revolution and market globalisation are some of the factors behind a convulsive environment marked by uncertainty. This new scenario has caused a mismatch between technological innovation and social innovation, highlighting the shortcomings of traditional organisational forms and the need for a change of company values.
InnovaPyme is a service designed to meet this challenge by training the principal intermediaries (local development agencies, clusters, chamber of commerce…) so that they can boost organisational transformation projects in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). InnovaPyme addresses the different stages of organisational transformation necessary to evolve towards an open social system that increases the competitiveness of SMEs and ensures its long-term survival.

SMEs have structural limitations that often prevent them from meeting the challenge of organisational transformation necessary to maintain and/or increase their competitiveness. The principal intermediaries can play a key role in this regard. This service is aimed at all wishing to boost organisational transformation processes in SMEs.

- The methodology used combines theoretical concepts, case study analysis and practical experience.
- Five part-time workshops have been scheduled, although they can be adapted to participants’ needs.

Team expertise
Henar Alcalde is a researcher at Orkestra- Basque Institute of Competitiveness. Her research focuses on open innovation strategies, particularly the analysis of collaboration between the various stakeholders involved, knowledge management, technology transfer, organisational models and the final impact of innovation results obtained by the company.
Aitziber Elola is a researcher at Orkestra- Basque Institute of Competitiveness. Her research focuses on business internationalisation and organisational innovation as well as on sector and cluster analysis, particularly global chain values and cluster life cycles.
