Transfer of knowledge

As a result of a long history of public-private partnerships, Deusto Research provides innovative solutions to current socio-economic and environmental challenges. Our research teams work closely with a wide range of local and international actors: companies, governments, institutions and networks on numerous projects.

Two leading research centers Orkestra-Basque Institute for Competitiveness and DeustoTech, lead DEUSTO transfer of knowledge to society. Their strong international projection guarantees commitment to excellence and wider connections.

Orkestra, closely linked to local and regional businesses and institutions, analyses competitiveness and regional development through different lines of research.

DeustoTech has an extensive portfolio of value-added products around user-based technologies and services to develop smart environments of the future (internet of things, sustainable and secure mobility, geo-positioning ...)

Deusto Research offers products and services ready to be applied in different contexts and situations. Examples are KINAGE 'serious game', and the neuropsychological rehabilitation program designed for psychosis and schizophrenia-Rehacoop, both selected by the European Commission as examples of good practice to be applied on a larger scale.

Deusto also has a portfolio of expert services to support some of the challenges faced by companies, social entities and public administrations and for which deficiencies not covered by other agents in the market have been detected.

Likewise, two business incubators linked to entrepreneurship and self-employment specialised units, Deusto Kabi and Innogune, channel innovative ideas resulting in spin-offs in different sectors.
