Aligned with the University’s mission, Deusto research ecosystem works towards the integration, motivation and career development of researchers. Deusto Research pursues highly motivated and participatory university community that engages in the development of more inclusive and fairly developed societies.
Researchers at DEUSTO are assisted by an integrated institutional administrative support structure. The Accommodation and Welcome Service, with the support of the Human Resources and Management Department, assist staff in settling into the city, with special attention to foreign researchers helping them plan their lodging while in DEUSTO (e.g., talent houses, off- and on-campus residence halls).
In addition to these internal services, the University has signed partnership agreements with specialised entities that aim at improving professional and personal experience of in-coming researchers to the Basque Country. In particular, DEUSTO cooperates closely with Bizkaia:Talent and Talent House in Gipuzkoa, two non-profit organisations that were established with the support of the Provincial Councils of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa. Their mission is to foster and facilitate the implementation of the necessary conditions for attracting, connecting and retaining highly qualified researchers in the Basque Country, promoting a talent-friendly environment.
