The University of Deusto (UD) has received more than 3.2 million euros to carry out international projects within the funding programme for Research and Innovation, Horizon Europe (2021-2027). The Horizon Europe Programme, as its predecessor Horizon 2020, is a key instrument for implementing EU R&D&I policies. The overall objective of the programme is to achieve a scientific, technological, economic and societal impact of EU investments in R&I, thereby strengthening its scientific and technological bases and fostering the competitiveness of all Member States (MS).
During 2022 DEUSTO, according to data collected by its International Research Projects Office (IRPO), has received more than 3.2 million euros to implement 11 international R+D+i projects, one of them as Coordinator. The funded projects are aligned with the priorities of the European Commission, the Basque PCTI and RIS3 and linked to DEUSTO Interdisciplinary Research Platforms and areas; B- creative, Gender, Social justice and inclusion, Strengthening participation, Ageing and Wellbeing and Health, Energy areas.
DEUSTO has extensive experience in international research projects. Since 2014 it has participated in a total of 112 international research projects out of which 45 H2020 and 11 Horizon Europe.
