Ainhoa Díez and María López Belloso presented the work of the Gender Interdisciplinary Research Platform at the Gender panel of the 6th CIMIE Conference, held at the University of Deusto from 28 to 30 of June 2017.
In their presentation, María and Ainhoa introduced the work of the Gender Platform as a dynamic vehicle that brings together experts from different study fields with the dual purpose of fostering collaboration and integrating existing expertise in order to address society´s emerging challenges on gender practices.
The Gender Platform, through its core group made of María Silvestre, Dolores Morondo, Pilar Rodriguez, María Jesús Pando, Leire Gartzia, Simona Skolovska, Ainhoa Díez, Laia Tarragona and María López have been working on the analysis of EU funded projects (FP7 and H2020) with the objective of identifying the contribution of these initiatives to overcome inequality in research structures. Although this is ongoing work, the speakers explained and synthesised some of the preliminary findings.
