DEUSTO discusses “decision-making, gender dimension and career” in the Virtual Matching-Events-Month organised by the European project Act on Gender

The Horizon 2020 ACT- Act on Gender project has launched the Virtual Matching-Events-Month initiative with the objective of bringing together different stakeholders interested in and working on gender-related topics. From 12 to 30 October, there will be six sessions dedicated to three of the European Research Area priorities: Decision-making (14 and 16 October), Gender dimension (20 and 22 October) and Careers (27 and 29 October).

The Matching Events provide a platform for exchange across the ACT Communities of Practice (CoPs) and other stakeholders. They also aim at ‘matching’ different actors, who share their interest in different topics and domains. These events look for:

  • Facilitating and boosting exchange and communication across CoPs
  • Scaling-up: promoting and scaling-up the ACT-network of CoPs
  • Expanding inclusivity: involvement of institutions interested in ACT

María López Belloso and Leire Gartzia, both members of the Gender Interdisciplinary Research Platform will make a presentation as part of the session on “National Policy and Institutional Measures for Gender Balance in Decision-Making and Leadership Positions in R&I” taking place on 16 October 2020.
