The core group identified the need to train mediators with mixed profiles coming from different sectors (i.e. academia, private sector, policy making and civil society) and disciplines. The objective is that these mediators build the bridges between the various stakeholders in a given territory in order to foster innovation and local economic development. The core group aims to reduce the gap between the organisations that have and/or generate useful knowledge and those interested in exploiting it by providing these mediators with new competences that complement excellence in innovation.
