BIZI ORAIN project: helping cancer patients through research

DEUSTO HealthPASS (Health, Physical Activity and Sports Sciences) research group relaunched the BIZI ORAIN project which consists of a first three months individualised and supervised physical exercise programme for cancer patients. The project is developed in collaboration with Biocruces and emcompasses a 3, 6 and 12 months physical evaluation of the patients. It is carried out at the Physiology Lab of the University of Deusto. The physical evaluations consist of two functional tests (400m walk and chair stand), hand grip strength, ergospirometry, upper and lower limb strength and perceived quality of life parameters.
