Interdisciplinary Research group of the University of Deusto at the 11th International Social Innovation Research Conference

On 2, 3 and 4 September 2019, an Interdisciplinary Research group of the University of Deusto participated at the 11th International Social Innovation Research Conference (ISIRC) in Glasgow (Scotland, United Kingdom).

ISIRC is the world’s leading interdisciplinary social innovation research arena bringing together scholars from across the globe to discuss social innovation from a variety of perspectives. The event was opened by five international keynote speakers and was structured around 21 conference streams.

DEUSTO’s interdisciplinary research group on Social Innovation, gathering researchers of the Faculties of Law and Engineering (Laura Gomez, Hector Barco and Ane Irizar) and Toñi Caro (IRPO) participated in the event and presented their papers in three different sessions:

  • Social innovation and sustainability: “Espigoladors: best practice on food waste reduction and sustainable promotion of the territory”
  • Technology & social innovation: “Socially innovative tackling digitalisation challenges in EU labour market”
  • Measuring social impact: “Social impact valorisation as a prerequisite for its measurement in higher education institutions”
