One of the main objectives of the research activity should be the generation of new knowledge and its uptake and transfer, so it can be used by the society. Aware of this need, the University of Deusto is carrying out activities and programmes with the objective of promoting and disseminating the Social Impact of the University’s research.
In this sense, the University hosted last Friday, 13 September, a Social Impact session with the researchers of the DIRS COFUND project (funded by Horizon 2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie programme). The objective was to raise awareness about the importance of having “Social Impact” in mind at all stages of the research lifecycle and to provide them with the tools that would help them identifying what activities can be developed to support it, both during their doctorate and once they have completed it.
