DEUSTO discusses the future of Horizon Europe in international conference

On 10 September 2019, Toñi Caro, Head of the DEUSTO International Research Project Office participated in the International Conference “Horizon Europe: New Parliament, new Commission, new agenda” organised by Science|Business in Brussels.

The event gathered the European R&I community to debate the strategy and ambitions for Horizon Europe. Participants reflected on the legacy of and lessons learned from Horizon 2020 but also looked to the future and presented high level recommendations for the incoming Parliament and Commission on what Horizon Europe might realistically be expected to deliver through to 2030.

It counted with the participation of high-level decision makers, such as the European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation (Carlos Moedas), European Commission Vice President Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness (Jyrki Katainen), European Commission Director-General for Research and Innovation (Jean-Eric Paquet) and Maria da Graça Carvalho (Member of the European Parliament).
