Social Impact

This initiative of social innovation seeks to build Friendly Cities For All that meet social needs that are currently not adequately covered, working collaboratively mapping architectural barriers, inclusion and awareness, opening a space for citizen participation. The project uses an established service learning methodology involving different groups, producing a strong tested (among other evidence) sensitization impact with:

  • The involvement of more than 750 students in mapping physical barriers in their environment
  • The inclusion of urban accessibility maps OpenStreetMap in Google Maps
  • Changes in schools with proposals accepted and implemented
  • Recognition of the 2nd National Learning Service Award 2016
  • Educational units generated to generate impact on the educational curriculum
