Brief description of the research aims
Increasing our understanding of the factors which determined how reading, writing and mathematics are learned, focusing on the study of subjects with poor performance in these three fields. The team develops methodological instruments (i.e. frequency dictionaries, screening tests and evidence-based teaching and re-education methods) which could be useful in preventing and correcting poor performance in reading, writing and mathematics.
We are also interested in encouraging educational and psychological policy based on scientific evidence and focusing on the beneficiaries. For this reason, one of our aims is to write summaries of scientific research on educational issues in Spanish.
