Deusto Stress Research

Research aim, lines & team

Brief description of the research aims

Some of the subjects we research include violent behaviour, both from the victims’ as well as the aggressors’ point of view. Emotional problems such as depression, anxiety, and eating disorders are also examined. We are not only interested in the factors that cause these problems but also those that help to overcome them, such as for instance, family resilience.

Research Area

  • Depression in adolescents: vulnerability and resilience
  • Family violence: child abuse, filio-parental violence, relationship conflicts
  • Cyber aggression
  • Development of preventive intervention techniques and mindfulness
