Its walls, the Gothic cathedral of Santiago, the Plaza Nueva, the emblematic church of San Antón and the ancient ruins on which it sits, as well as the bustling market of La Ribera host more than 700 years of history and a timeless urban vitality.

But Casco Viejo is also the place par excellence to enjoy our famous cuisine specially our renowned miniature cuisine: the "pintxos". Grab one or ask for a plate and help yourself to an endless variety of delicious fingerfood options. To travel the “Ría” is to go through the history of Bilbao, discovering the newest icons of the city: the Guggenheim Museum, the Euskalduna Palace, San Mamés and Zubizuri as well as other great representatives of its past: the University of Deusto, the mansions and manor houses and the San Antón bridge, whicht grants entrance to “Casco Viejo”.
