Internships

Students do an internship in an auditing firm during the second semester. The Spanish Institute of Chartered Accountants (through the Basque Country Regional Association) offers paid internships to all the students taking part in this programme with a view to ensuring they acquire practical experience in accounts auditing.

The internship module consists of two phases:

  • During November and December the process of assigning students to the various firms participating in the internship programme takes place. The allocation is decided after the firms undertake a selection process based on the curriculums of students and an interviews.
  • Between January and May, students realise their internships with the accountancy firms that have selected them; they are assigned to a team and accomplish tasks appropriate for a junior accountant.
