She worked as a HIV Focal Point in the field of Education for UNESCO Zimbabwe, and collaborated on various HIV social projects and research from 1999 to 2001. In June 2001, she started to work in the Biscay Anti-AIDS Citizen Committee, where she was a psychologist and coordinator of the Harm Reduction and Drug Abuse in population at severe risk of social exclusion, with particular emphasis on promoting the active participation of drug users In 2005, she was Chairwoman of the Organisation, where she performed project coordination tasks, funding management, knowledge dissemination in courses and seminars and networking with other bodies to create networks and platforms of associations. She is a representative of the Associations working in the field of drug dependencies in Biscay before the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs of the Basque Government, and a member of the Prevention Technical Committee. Since January 2011 untill 2014, she has been Chairwoman of the Funsida state platform (Anti-Aids Citizen Movement Foundation). She is a member of the NGO Advisory and Consultative Committee of the National Commission for the Coordination and Monitoring of Aids Prevention Programmes (COAC), Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality.
