Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas, San Salvador); Diploma in Adult Education and Popular Promotion (Ibero-American University, Mexico); Postgraduate diploma in Model and Techniques for Mental Health Intervention in a Post-War context (San Salvador); Family therapist (Basque-Navarre School of Family Therapy, Bilbao). She is a qualified psychotherapist (Spanish Federation of Psychotherapists’ Associations; member of the International Federation of Psychotherapy). Since 2003, she has been Director of Sortzen Consultoría S.L., a company specialising in gender-based violence and women’s empowerment. She lectures on several Master’s degrees: Master’s degree in Intervention in Cases of Violence against Women (University of Deusto); Master’s degree in Gender and Development (Complutense University of Madrid); Master’s in Intervention against Gender-Based Violence (Pontifical University of Salamanca); Master’s in Gender and Cooperation Development; Master’s in Social Psychology (University of Granada). Since 2005, she has collaborated as a lecturer in several issues related to female identity and subjectivity at various empowerment schools in Biscay and Gipuzkoa. She also collaborates in courses, seminars and conferences on issues related to gender-based violence for technical and political staff at various Town Councils, Gipuzkoa Regional Council, and Osakidetza - Basque Health Service.
