The H2020 Waste4Think project was presented at Ecomondo 2019

The Horizon 2020 Waste4Think project, funded by the European Commission and coordinated by the University of Deusto, has been selected for the second time to be presented at Ecomondo, the leading event in Europe for the new models of circular economy that brings together all sectors of the circular economy in a single platform: from material and energy recovery to sustainable development. More than 120,000 experts have gathered this time in Rimini, Italy.

Waste4Think is one of the 40 projects funded by the European Union that has been showcased at the stand of EASME Executive Agency for SMEs. Edurne Fernandez, from Aclima Basque Environment Cluster, partner of the project, explained how Waste4Think aims to move forward the current waste management system into a new model based on circular economy principles. The challenge is to improve the waste management not only in economic or operational terms but also considering the environmental and social impact. To do so, Waste4Think has designed a set of 20 eco-innovative solutions covering the entire value chain.
