DEUSTO discusses how ICT changes our way of interacting in public life

On 2 December 2020, Lorena Fernández (Director of Digital Identity at the University of Deusto) discussed how ICT changes our way of interacting with public life in an online debate organised by the ALBOAN Foundation. The event was organised under the theme: Las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) y construcción de ciudadanía (The Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and construction of citizenship).

The event also counted with the participation of Genís Roca (Expert in business transformation processes and digital culture) and was moderated by Guillermo Otano (ALBOAN Foundation).

According to the experts the presence of multiple information channels is configuring a diverse and complex information ecosystem that has transformed the way of understanding reality and of relating to each other. They consider that information and citizen participation are fundamental, as a space for social empowerment and the construction of citizenship.
