  • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Social Education
  • Credits/Duration: 60 ECTS yearly x 4 years= 240 ECTS
  • Number of places: 60
  • Teaching method: Full time, taught sessions
  • Language of instruction: Spanish and Basque
  • Internships: Compulsory: 30 ECTS (during the 3rd and 4th yrs. of study)
  • International programme: Electives: 30 or 60 ECTS (one semester or two in the 3rd year)

Undergraduate Final Year Project

In the fourth year of study, you will do your Undergraduate Final Year Project. All students are required to complete the project and defend it before a committee.


This project will afford you the opportunity to demonstrate...

  • That you have acquired the knowledge and competences envisaged in the Bachelor’s degree in Social Education.
  • You will show your capacity to raise questions about a key theme in Social Education .
  • You will prove that you have made use of a rigorous system to find possible answers to these questions.

In order to enrol for fourth year, students must have completed, or at least enrolled for, all of the core and compulsory subjects in the programme syllabus.
 

Project description

The Undergraduate Final Year Project is a theoretical, empirical or applied work related to one of the four possible intervention areas in the Bachelor’s degree in Social Education (the same ones used to structure the Practicum).

Students complete their Undergraduate Final Year Project and Practicum during the last year of the degree programme. Students focus on choosing a subject, raising questions and becoming familiar with problem solving techniques.

Your project will necessarily be related to socio-educational in one of these four fields:

Social Services Labour market insertion
Leisure, Culture and Community Development Citizenship

The project can be either theoretical-empirical or applied:

Fom the bibliographic information or actual data collected and analysed, a situation relevant to Social Education is described, contrasted and used to respond to the problem or object of the research. Fom analysis of real data and contrast with contributions from the scientific and professional community, socio-educational intervention projects can be designed or assessed.
