You will be assisted by a tutor throughout your degree studies. They are usually faculty lecturers who teach subjects in your year of study.
Tutors’ duties include:
|- Assess students as groups or individually, focusing on academic, personal and/or job aspects. |
- Act as your liaison with the Dean’s office, Secretary’s office and other academic staff.
- Manage and work together on actions to improve students’ situation at the faculty.
Your tutor is the person to turn to when you have any type of problem or question (about your studies, personal matters that affect your academic performance, new ideas for improvement, etc.)

Lecturers are responsible for holding academic tutorials on the subjects they teach.. These meetings focus on solving doubts or difficulties understanding the subject matter or guidance and follow up on projects and assignments.

Student Guidance Service
In addition to assistance from your faculty tutors, the university offers you the Student Guidance and Support Service. This service aims to support and assist you in making decisions that affect your academic performance and personal well being.
The Student Guidance and Support Service also has a psychology section for student consultation. This service is offered free of charge and in full confidentiality. A PhD in Psychology is on hand to discuss all types of problems- emotional, social or academic- as well as your self-improvement and personal development.
Note to students with special educational needs
One of the university’s key duties is to be fully aware of problems within the institution itself and the society we live in. For this reason, specific steps should be taken to boost integration and real equality of opportunity for people with special educational needs. Timely specific action is required to enable them to enter higher education in equal conditions and ensure their full integration in the university community.
