Internships are compulsory in the Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education. Teacher training is essential to future careers in the educational system. Students do their internships during the second and fourth years of study. Internships are one of the most important aspects of the degree, accounting for 42 ECTS.
This rigorous, systematic and individual training means that each student has two personal tutors who assist in the learning process: an on site tutor at the school, centre, etc. and one from the university.
- During the second year of study, students do an internship as a general teacher/tutor.
- In fourth year, they combine this general background with that of their specialism: Therapeutic Pedagogy or Foreign Language: English.
This will enable students to apply knowledge and skills acquired during the undergraduate programme as they experience the world of work and improve their CVs, giving them an edge on the job market. The faculty has numerous agreements with public, private and state subsidised schools where students can do their internships according to their profiles and fields of interest.
