This programme provides students with an excellent background to work in Education and Physical Activity and Sport.
1. Core subjects
- The specific Physical Activity and Sports Science subjects include different material to provide students with a solid background in the field: sports psychology, human development, the fundamentals of sport, motor skills, etc.
- Primary Education-specific subjects This provides students with a basic background in psychology and learning, school organisation, curricular design and the relationship between school, family, society and culture.
2. Educational training
Students receive theory, practical and curricular training in the fields of knowledge included in Primary Education: mathematics, languages, natural sciences, plastic arts and music with emphasis on physical education.
Students gain a command of these areas of knowledge and learn how to plan to ensure efficient learning.
3. Applied Knowledge
Students focus their learning on the key professional fields of Physical Activity and Sports Science, which are:
- Physical Activity/Sports Education
- Sports training
- Physical Activity and Health
- Sports Recreation Management
4. Human Values Education
Students focus on professional ethics and also have the opportunity to choose a subject on human development and values offered by the UD and shared with students from other degree programmes.

6. Internships and Undergraduate Final Year Project
- Students earn 12 credits as Physical Activity and Sports Science internships (4th year) and 30 credits as Primary Education internships (5th year).
- Students are required to prepare 2 Undergraduate Final Year Projects, one per degree. These works are completed between 4th year (Primary Education) and 5th year (Physical Activity and Sports Science).
